Today we went to a Fall Festival put on by the Young Lawyers Assoc. Rhett liked wearing his costume and of course loved wearing the hat. We only had one little melt down before going to the event. We thought his little fit looked especially funny in his costume.
Rhett loved getting a taste of his first ever snowcone.....he was eyeing the cotton candy but we thought that one snowcone would give him a big enough sugar high.
Rhett wanted a balloon from the first second we entered the festival so Skeeter the clown made him a sword out of a balloon. He didn't really pay much attention to Skeeter but he loved having a balloon that wouldn't fly away from him.
The highlight of the whole festival was the costume contest. Rhett won FIRST place in the one to three-year-olds category. He got a certificate and a pumpkin full of goodies. Jason and I were so proud of our precious little scarecrow.
This hat was left over from Rhett's first birthday party and once he found it he wouldn't take it off. He wore it all over the house and he even wanted to wear it to Wal-Mart. Everyone in the store kept coming up to him and calling him a little cowboy. I'm sure he only wanted to wear it for the extra attention he knew he would get.....I just don't know where he gets the need for attention from????
I thought it would be so much fun to get us all dressed up and take our pictures at the pumpkin patch....but obviously I was once again INSANE!! We sat right in the middle of a fire ant bed and didn't know it and we couldn't figure out why Rhett was acting up until we took off his shoes and starting inspecting all of our bodies to see that we were all covered in welps from the ant bites. Thankfully Rhett's not allergic to them...but at least it will always be another wonderful family memory. I just hope Rhett won't need to much therapy later in life to get over it!! HA HA
I'm probably crazy to think that we are ready to start potty training but oh well, maybe it's worth a shot. We haven't officially started the actual training yet but we decided to go ahead and get Rhett acquainted with his new adventure. It didn't take him long to figure out how to get on it. We just hope that when he decides to actually go he doesn't do it in the middle of the living room. HAHA
Rhett had his first sucker all by himself and he loved it. Surprisingly, he didn't make too big of a mess with it.
I guess Rhett's not the only one who loves to watch the Wiggles. Grandpa and NeNe said that all three kids were glued to the TV during the show and Rhett even got up to dance with them.
