June

Well June seemed to end as quickly as it began but not without some big milestones for Rhett. The most important being finishing Kindergarten…YIKES how did that happen? I literally prayed constantly for Rhett to get a great Kinder teacher and I do believe our prayers were answered with Mrs. D. She was fantastic for R and really made the adjustment for all of us so smooth. It was hard to say goodbye to her on the last day of school because she was so special to us. On the way to the last day of school Rhett said, “I’m going to miss Kindergarten forever!” Me too son, Me too!June1 DelBelloThanks copy It seemed that R got over missing Kindergarten very quickly and was ready for Summer. So we all loaded up and met my younger sister Julie at Great Wolf Lodge for some family fun.Junegreatwolf1 copy Junegreatwolf2 One of the funniest moments we had was during story time one evening. R and W were quietly sitting listening to the story when I guess W decided he wanted a better seat. So he got up and went and sat in some strange man’s lap. I will give him credit for the fact that he chose a man wearing an orange shirt and Texans hat just like daddy was that night, but we thought we taught him better than to sit in a stranger’s lap. (especially one wearing a burnt orange Longhorn shirt…HAHA!)wyattgreatwolf When we returned from Great Wolf R started Golf camp, which he thoroughly enjoyed. I’m not sure if he was most happy about getting to play golf everyday or the fact that they got unlimited soft drinks from the clubhouse. He still asks all the time if he can have a suicide like he did at golf camp. (apparently this is a mixture of all the flavors of soft drinks) On the last day of golf camp we got to go up and enjoy a pizza party and view our budding little golfer’s swing. It was a really neat experience because the instructors were able to draw on the screen and show us R’s improvement and what we needed to work on.JunegolfcampRhett continues to tell us that his two favorite sports are golf and baseball and if you ask me I think he’s probably the cutest little dude to ever play either sport. Just look at his official picture from the spring season.baseballRhett I’ve promised you before that I’d scan in some of our ultrasound pictures of baby boy number three and today I’m following through.
Introducing: Landon Hugh Landon1
(of course this is Mr. Landon from back when I was only four months along. I’m saving his recent pictures to reward you for sticking with me through all these catch up posts. So that means you have to stick with me to see the little mister now that he’s almost fully cooked.)

May Madness

Surprise two posts in a row!! Too bad it’s still just catch up but hey at least I’m trying. We were still just blowing and going in May. It’s always a busy month with school and baseball all coming to an end. So here are our May highlights. Jama came for a visit and W perfected his baseball swing. We also spent a lot of time in the backyard playing, grilling and camping.May1  We enjoyed some fun time at the beach with Rhett’s little Boo. W proved to be a water baby just like big brother R.Maybeach R and all of his classmates had a fun-filled field day to celebrate the end of a great Kindergarten year.May2 copyI’m pretty sure I spent most of May trying to cope with the fact that R was finishing Kindergarten! (As far as I can tell I think I survived it…haha)

April Showers Bring September Blog Posts

Well once again I’m playing catch up. I promise I have a million and one things to blog about but for some reason I feel like I have to get all caught up before I can move forward.  Hopefully I can accomplish that before baby boy #3 gets here in less than four weeks so that I can actually post some pictures of him when he comes.
In case you were wondering what all we were up to in April here you go. We started the month off celebrating Easter out West with Grandma and Moopa. We had such a great trip filled with fishing, decorating and hunting Easter eggs, and finishing it up with a wonderful Easter service and lunch at the country club with the Easter Bunny. I was almost two months pregnant at the time and we still weren’t telling many people so it was fun to have that little secret in my tummy.April1The boys had so much fun hunting Easter eggs Easter morning and Wyatt loved finding eggs and putting them in his basket.April2April was also filled with lots and lots of baseball action. Rhett LOVED playing with his team but I think he mostly LOVED crossing home plate with style. I’m pretty sure all the fans enjoyed watching him round home plate as well because he always treated us to some kind of victory dance. (which usually included some rocking air guitar!) I know that Jason and I will never forget the mental pictures we have of our boy and his excitement of scoring a run! One of the coolest things our team got to do was participate in Astros Youth baseball day. The whole team including Jason got to parade around the Astros’ field before the game. Both boys loved the experience of actually getting down on the field where our favorite players play.AprilbaseballWe have a favorite little Farmer’s Market that we LOVE getting fresh fruits and vegetables from. It seems like we always miss their strawberry picking season so this time we made it a priority. Believe me it was so worth it. You could smell the sweet strawberries when you walked up and the boys LOVED filling their buckets to the brim. Wyatt thought he was in heaven with the unlimited amount of berries he consumed. Of course you’re not supposed to eat any of them until you’ve paid for them and most importantly WASHED them, but I couldn’t keep him out of them. Every time I turned around he was putting another one in his mouth and when we went in to pay his face was dripping in juice and his shirt was stained red. Please pray for little W the strawberry thief at the young age of 15 months…haha!AprilstrawberryThe boys threw me a Curious George party for my birthday and the sweet neighborhood kids drew me a huge birthday card in the street. It was too sweet!AprilbirthdayRhett and I wrapped April up with a fun school field trip to the farm. (Yes that would be R going head first down the slide…crazy boy!) aprilfieldtripJust think maybe if your lucky I’ll get time to fill you in on May-September soon! Thanks for sticking with me if you’re actually still sticking with me that is…ha!
