Bahamas Baby!

Warning!! This is going to be a VERY picture heavy post. So if you get tired of looking at our family OVER and OVER click away NOW…ha! June 18-24 we took the whole family and my younger sister, Aunt Jules, on an amazing vacation to Atlantis, Paradise Island. The word AMAZING really doesn’t do it justice. It. Was. PERFECT!!

We survived the airport and all the boys were so good on the plane, even Jason! Lman never made a peep. I was so proud of them all! When we landed we knew we were for sure in Paradise! Here is the view from our balcony. It was breathtaking to wake up to every morning!viewlighthouseview2
The boys were so excited to finally be there. We stayed at The Reef in a two bedroom, three bathroom suite that was plenty big for all of us.

Bahamas Part Four

We also got to participate in a shallow water dolphin interaction at Dolphin Cay. Our dolphin’s name was Tracy and she was pretty stinking cool! (I need to apologize ahead of time for the visuals of me in a wet suit.)

Bahamas Goodbye

My vision of beautiful family pictures on the beach didn’t turn out quite like I had hoped. We did get a few that were somewhat presentable.  familybeach2 familybeach6 threeboys WHEW…I told you this was going to be a TON of pictures. We had an incredible time and couldn’t have done it without the help of Julie. She kept the kids each night so that daddy and I could go out. This was a much needed break from reality that I hope we can repeat again someday. Until then at least I have a TON of pictures to look back at!

Baseball Wrap Up

Rhett was so fortunate this spring to be on a super baseball team. We started the season off a little rough but ended with a bang. Rhett said it best, “We started off not doing that good until our coaches taught us and then we started winning!" His team surprised a lot of teams when they battled their way to the championship game in the City tournament. These are some of my favorite action shots from their semi-final game.
Here is one of Rhett’s At-bats that ended with a scored run.IMG_8555copyHeading to Second!                                                           IMG_8566 Headed to Third!IMG_8582Rhett is the king of close calls and it doesn’t get much closer than this safe at Third base.safeatthird  And finally SAFE at home!safeathomeWith the win over the Astros we were headed to the Championship game. We had to face a team we had previously beaten during the season and so they came for revenge. We ended up losing and coming in Second place but Rhett still scored a run for us. I will never get tired of seeing Rhett in his little running-ready position. IMG_8573IMG_8655 IMG_8656
After the game the boys all got medals for their second place finish.

The team had a super-fun pool party to celebrate the super season. We really were super-blessed with super coaches. (I know I’ve used super way too many times here but this is my blog and I’ll overuse super if I want too…ha!) Rhett getting his SUPER trophy.IMG_8637 Our SUPER team mom.IMG_8599Finally our SUPER coaches! I really could go on and on about how SUPER they were with our boy. Just take my word for it they were the SUPEREST! (which is pretty SUPER…haha!)IMG_8645Come back tomorrow to see our SUPER family vacation.
