kelsey's visit
After Christmas Kelsey came back home with us. We had a great time going to Chuck E. Cheese's and shopping and just hanging out. She was such a big helper that I really tried to convince Laura that I needed to adopt her to live with us permanently. Thanks for coming to stay with us Kelsey we had such a great time with you.

christmas eve
These are some pictures from Christmas Eve. The first one is our family before church and the rest are of the kids getting ready for Santa. When Rhett saw the girls getting milk and cookies out for Santa, he decided that he wanted to leave some chex mix for Santa as well. Then when we went outside to leave carrots for the reindeer he put the bag of mix down for them as well. It was just too cute watching him try to make a contribution to Santa.
rhett a year ago

As another year is coming to a close I'm feeling really sentimental about how fast little Rhett has grown up. Last Christmas he still looked like a baby and this Christmas he is a little boy. I miss the days of just holding and cuddling my sweet baby for hours, now we are lucky if we get a high five as he is running by. Everyone tells you to enjoy every minute of the stage your child is in because before you blink it will have all passed. So before too much more time passes I thought I should list some of my favorite Rhett"isms".
When he is telling you something he usually ends it with "on me." Here are some of his best "on me" sayings:
Right now he is totally into trains and any kind of bat or ball he can get his hands on. When he sees a bat or a ball, he automatically calls it an Astro's bat or Astro's ball. He also likes to pretend to eat ladybugs and bumble bees and then spit them out all over the place. He loves to dance and while we are driving he wants everyone in the car to dance along as well. If daddy and I aren't dancing to his satisfaction he says, "Get it momma, Get it daddy." Another Rhett saying is "You heard that?" He always wants to make sure that we are hearing and seeing everything that he is. He also likes to tell me "Mom I can't found it," when he is looking for a specific toy. I just love the way that he puts together all of his little sentences and witnessing the way his brain is working is just amazing!
Rhett is pure joy with such a wonderful sense of humor, and I'm so in love with his little personality that I look forward to each day I get to spend with him just to hear what he's going to come up with next.

- "Mom, don't hurt on me."
- "Mom, don't spank on me."
- "Don't kiss on me."
- "Don't hug on me."

breakfast with santa

Today we went to a breakfast with Santa in our neighborhood park. We started the morning off by buying toys for Rhett to donate to the toy drive and then headed over to the park to see Santa. Rhett and I got to ride the train and Rhett loved jumping in the bouncy house. He also got to sit on a police motorcycle, which I'm happy to report he didn't like all that well. We had a lot of fun helping out less fortunate children.
