January wrap up

Wyatt’s party wasn’t the only exciting one we attended in January. Jason and I went to a murder mystery birthday party for my new neighbor, who has quickly become my BFF. The party was an 80’s themed bash. Our characters were assigned to us ahead of time with clues to help us figure out “whodunit”. I was Lindy Looper and my handsome date was Alligator Dundee. IMG_7106 IMG_7107We had such a great time and Alligator man and I ended up being the stars of the party. Turns out I murdered him with a rubics cube. It really was completely coincidental, the hostesses didn’t even know the outcome until the end of the party. Jason has been a little sweeter now that he knows what I’m capable of…haha!
I really don’t remember the actual story behind this picture but we all thought it was funny. I think Rhett was pouting on the stairs so Jason joined him to show him how silly he looked. Not to be left out of all the pouting Dub-ya quickly joined in. Of course his little elbows couldn’t reach his knees but that didn’t stop him one bit.IMG_7121IMG_7127Wyatt keeps us laughing all the time and of course R couldn’t pout long after that. (wow, I seriously have four boys don’t I?Sometimes I don’t really believe it until I see pictures like this and I’m reminded of how outnumbered I truly am)
I’m getting so close to catching this baby up. Just February, March and I promise to throw in a Landon post as well to prove that he’s still around.

January and a Super Party

The highlight of January for us was celebrating Wyatt’s second birthday. With a new baby and his birthday so close to Christmas it was a little difficult pulling it all together but we managed. His actual birthday is Jan. 9 but his party wasn’t until the 15th. So R and I decided to make him a cake to mark the actual big day.IMG_0623IMG_0626
Wyatt LOVES the PBS cartoon Super Why, because he’s so advanced and already reading at age two the main character’s name is Wyatt. So we decided to have a Super Wyatt birthday party.Wyattsecondbirthday copyblogI really threw this party together so last minute that I wasn’t even going to make a cake. Then the night before the party my mommy guilt set in and so I made this cake to match.IMG_0660I had one of my sewing girlfriends make capes for all the kid’s party favors then I used my heat press to put their super initial on them.IMG_0654Each family got to take home a bag of super goodies. IMG_7609IMG_0656DSC_0023DSC_0031 IMG_7603 The best thing we did was have James Coney Island cater the party. The hot dogs and sandwiches were super!IMG_7612 IMG_7615DSC_0011gregggirls DSC_0043 IMG_7627Landon was all partied out!IMG_7648IMG_7669It is hard to believe that Wyatt is two. He really makes all the struggles we had to get him here all worth it. He is a little toot but also the sweetest and most obedient little toot. He loves his brothers and LOVES to dance and be in the middle of all the action. He talks up a storm and his favorite book is Brown Bear Brown Bear. He prays at dinner with us and has the cutest Amen you’ve ever heard. I could cuddle my little two year old forever! We LOVE him so much and can’t wait to see what plans the good Lord has for him!
