getting ready to go

party time

It was raining so we had a get together at our neighbors house and ate frito pie and chili. The kids had lots of fun playing together in their costumes. Rhett traded his cowboy hat for an aggie helmet. The aggies may be calling him in to play very soon! HAHA Oh and aren't little Elvis and the surgeon just precious??

trick or treat time

It finally stopped raining and we were able to actually do some trick-or-treating. Rhett really didn't know what to think about it, but he loved being outside when it was dark. He also really loved the dog that followed us along the way.

day four

We got up very early and tried to pack as much in as possible before flying back home in the afternoon. We rode the train to Arlington National Cemetery and then went back to the Capitol and the Supreme Court. The Marine Marathon was going on so we ended up going into the American Indian Museum to eat lunch because we couldn't cross any of the streets or we would have ended up in the marathon. Rhett loved eating the black beans with a big spoon. We ended our sightseeing at Ford's Theatre then walked back to our hotel to catch a cab to the airport. We had a wonderful time and made some great family memories along the way.

day three

Daddy was done at noon today so we spent the rest of the day going to more museums and more walking around. Rhett slept again but woke up just in time to ride the merry-go-round with daddy. Jason wanted to see some dinosaurs so we were sure to go to the Museum of Natural History, which is where I got to see the Hope diamond. AWWWW a girl can only dream of wearing that some day.

day two

Jason had to go to meetings all day so Rhett and I went out to some of the Smithsonian museums with another wife who was on the trip. Jama the jersey picture is for you and Dorothy's ruby red slippers are for Jodie. We were able to meet back up with Jason for dinner. Once again Rhett slept through all of the museums.

day one

We arrived in D.C. around noon, checked into our hotel, grabbed a bite to eat and then immediately began sightseeing. Rhett fell asleep for most of it, which made it easier for Jason and I to actually see as much as possible. We saw so much in such a short amount of time but I only have room to post some of the highlights of the trip. Hope you enjoy and if you were wondering Rhett was amazing on both flights. We kept him very entertained on the way up and on the way home he was so exhausted that he slept the majority of the flight. He is such a good baby...we are still wondering how Jason and I had such a good one!! haha
