April Part One: Happy Easter!
We were lucky enough to be able to steal a weekend out West with Grandma and Moopa for Easter. We always have such a great time staying out at deer camp letting the boys be boys. We fished, hunted and dyed Easter eggs and were happy to see the Easter bunny found the boys out in the country.

April Part Two: iPhone wrap up
These are the pictures I found on my phone that I wanted to include from April. Wyatt ready for his first game.

Rhett's birthday fell on a closed campus day so we had to wait until April 2nd to have birthday lunch with him.

When you are the only girl in a boy house your birthday presents come wrapped in camo duct tape...haha!

Rhett gave us a big scare in April. I had just gotten Landon's epi-pen filled (he's allergic to peanuts like Rhett) and it was on my night stand. Somehow Landon knocked it off. I was busy doing something with Wyatt so I asked Rhett to go pick it up so that Landon didn't get hurt with it. I had no idea that when Landon knocked it off the night stand that one of the pens actually came open. Until I heard a loud pain-filled scream. I ran in my bedroom to find Rhett screaming with the epi-pen standing straight up out of his thumb. I tried pulling it out but it was stuck and the needle was bent a little. My girlfriend across the street is a nurse so I picked up Rhett and ran him across the street. She pulled out the pen and told us to go to the ER. I'm not an over-reactor and I really didn't think that was necessary. Until the tip of his thumb started swelling and turned completely white and cold. I read the epi-pen insert and it clearly states, "in case of accidental injection in a finger go to the nearest ER." So I loaded him up and headed that way. Rhett's little heart was racing and he was talking crazy fast and seemed to be panicking. I did my best to keep him calm and comforted. The ER staff got him all checked in and the tip of his thumb continued to get colder, whiter and more swollen. I wasn't all that worried until I asked the doctor if Rhett would be able to play baseball in the next game and the doctor calmly replied, "We are just trying to save his thumb at this point." I finally realized how serious the situation really was and Rhett and I began to pray. They kept us in the ER until they could get some color back into the tip of his thumb which took more than five hours. I have never prayed so much for a thumb in all my life but I'm so thankful that we went to the ER and everything turned out fine.

Our scary little emergency made me so thankful for healthy children. My heart just breaks for so many of you out there dealing with kids with serious illnesses. I just cannot imagine facing hospitals on a daily basis. God has truly blessed us and protected us more than we deserve and I'm so extremely grateful for three healthy boys!
