Earlier in the year we were looking at pictures from our previous Disney trips with Rhett. Wyatt was so excited looking at each picture. Then he looked up at Jason and said, "Daddy I sure wish I could go there" With that simple statement our Summer plans were sealed. We booked our trip for June 9-15 and decided to take along our babysitter Makayla for extra help. We flew out super-early and made it to our resort in time for lunch. We stayed at Wilderness Lodge and it was the perfect choice for three outdoor-loving boys. We spent our first day exploring our resort and ended our first night with a Backyard BBQ with Mickey. While waiting on our boat to dinner we got a little rain shower which produced a perfect Disney rainbow to welcome us to the happiest place on earth. What a wonderful first day we had!

May Part One: Goodbye Second Grade
The end of the school year is always completely insane. I was super-busy with Teacher Appreciation week stuff then I ended up having to put Rhett's end of year party together. (Of course his end of year party was only three days after the crawfish boil and baseball party...ugh! It makes me tired just thinking about it all.) I decided to make Rhett's party a picnic. I took a silly picture of all the kids at field day then designed all the party around that. The kids all seemed to like having their picture on everything. The saddest thing about putting together Rhett's party was that he missed the whole thing. I'll post more about it later but we were hit with an epic tummy bug that caused Rhett to miss the whole last week of school. It wasn't as fun throwing a party for other people's kids but you know how much I love a party so I managed...ha!
Rhett played bells in the Second grade performance May 10 and we sent cake pops to all of his teachers during teacher appreciation week.

The picture that inspired an entire party.

I made each kid a shirt with their silly picture on it that read, "Watch Out Third Grade, Here We Come!"

May Part Two: Baseball & Crawfish
Our Springs are always full of baseball and our annual crawfish boil. Rhett got the game ball May 16 and we had our end of season party May 25. It was a crazy busy weekend for me because I was in charge of dessert, decorations and coaches gifts for the baseball party Friday night followed by our Crawfish boil the next day. The baseball party was at a local Mexican food restaurant that has a bounce house and mechanical bull. It was the perfect place for a team of rowdy boys.

We recovered from the baseball party just in time to boil up mudbugs for all our friends and neighbors. Mrs. F cracked us up when she pulled out her gloves. She came prepared to get down and dirty!

May iPhone Wrap Up
May was not just a crazy busy month but we were hit with a tummy bug of Biblical proportions. I really started to wonder if a plague had been cast upon our house. Every day for three and a half solid weeks someone in our house was spewing from the North or the South. It was EPIC! I wasn't sure we were going to survive it in time for our big Summer vacation in June. Then finally days before we were about to leave on vacation everyone was better for a day. Only to wake up the next morning with pink eye. Finally they all caught something treatable and a few eye drops later everyone was back to normal.
Here are my iPhone pictures for May. First up my sick babies.

We had a garage sale and the little boys sold ice cold waters while they drank root beers.

Jason and I ran a 5K on his work team and both did pretty well. Of course I still consider doing well to mean that I finished! Ha!

We took just Wyatt on a date to the Astros. He absolutely LOVED being an only child for at least a few hours.

We made another trip to the Astros to entertain clients in the suite. As you can imagine, the boys are in Heaven when we get to do this. Not only are the seats great but the ice cream cart comes for a visit.

I'm still thanking the good Lord that we survived our crazy, busy, contaminated May!

April Part One: Happy Easter!
We were lucky enough to be able to steal a weekend out West with Grandma and Moopa for Easter. We always have such a great time staying out at deer camp letting the boys be boys. We fished, hunted and dyed Easter eggs and were happy to see the Easter bunny found the boys out in the country.

What a wonderfully blessed weekend we had!
